A new day has dawned, and He is risen! Our Savior lives!
Today, we celebrate the incredible miracle that is the resurrection. Nearly 2,000 years ago, Jesus rose from the dead and is still alive today. He lives in the hearts of all who know Him. He lives in bustling cities and remote rural villages. He lives on tiny islands and in the vast spaces of desert and tundra. He lives in countries that are oppressive to the Gospel and nations with a freedom to worship. Jesus is alive, and He offers new life to all peoples. Hallelujah!
Our partners regularly share with us the stories of those who are experiencing new life in Jesus. One such story came to us from New Life South Asia:
Hundreds of church planting teams traveled around the region, sharing the Good News of Jesus in more than 10,000 villages. A large number of people responded to the Gospel and invited them to pray with them. In one village, a team met a woman named Shasvati, who had been plagued with an evil spirit for more than three years. As the team prayed for her, the evil spirit left and God brought her complete healing. Shasvati and her family decided to follow Jesus, and she has opened her house as a place for prayer and fellowship!
The transformational joy and hope the Gospel brings is available to all peoples. Today, as you celebrate the crucified and risen Jesus, take a moment to also pray that the more than two billion least-reached people on earth will soon have access to the Good News! Happy Easter, friends—Christ is Risen!
