The Suri Literacy Project, an indigenous church-based team in Southwest Ethiopia, wants to share the Good News of Jesus with the Suri people and empower them through literacy training. In cooperation with Ethiopia’s Ministry of Education, they have initiated a literacy program in government-operated primary schools as part of the standard curriculum. Children are learning to read and write in their heart language using the only written materials available—the Bible and associated Bible stories. DONATE NOW
